Seeking an enemy who is unleashing supernatural forces, their trail leads them from Victorian London, across the Indian plains of the British Raj to the Paris of the Exposition Universelle, in a desperate bid to prevent catastrophe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is 1892 and following the discovery of a long-forgotten temple in the heart of the Mexican jungle, events have been unleashed that were long since prophesied. But just what is the strange beacon that sits at the temple\u2019s apex? And what, exactly, is it summoning?
It seems that the origins of mankind are not as they once believed, and now only a millennia-old Society stands between them and their possible extinction. The race is on to find Jasper Rimes, who has gone missing in the plateaus of the Himalayas, and who may provide the key to unlock the apocalyptic conundrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is 1895, and a series of murders involving Black Magic occultists have been laid at the feet of the mysterious vigilante that the newspapers have come to call the Scourge. But what is the meaning of the strange symbol it leaves behind at each murder scene, and is there more to the slaughter than mere internecine rivalry? Jasper Rimes believes so. And with his staunch ally, Amelia Deane, at his side, the two find they must leave their tranquil paradise and return to London in order to aid the secretive VISOR organisation once more. Their hope is to head off a catastrophe that has been eons in the making. A catastrophe that is no less than the end of very structure of the universe itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
